The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 6-5 on Sunday, picking up a crucial 23-20 overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts to keep pace in the AFC playoff picture.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes put up big numbers, but struggled to find the end zone. He completed 29-of-46 passes for 352 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Several promising long drives ended in field goals, with Harrison Butker nailing the game-winning, 27-yarder in overtime.
Tight end Travis Kelce had a quiet game after his early touchdown was controversially erased by a facemask penalty . Kelce finished with four catches for 43 yards. He also had a one-yard carry.

Kelce and the Chiefs cracked smiles in the locker room on the back of their first win since Oct. 27. During a postgame interview , reporters asked Kelce what it is like having Mahomes under center with the game on the line.
Kelce took the question literally, responding with an impression of what Mahomes sounded like in the huddle. He did not hold back one bit — take a listen.
"Ah man, you just believe," Kelce said, mimicking Mahomes' voice. "You just believe every snap."
The three-time Super Bowl MVP's steadfast confidence finally came through in a tight game. It was the first time in six tries that Kansas City had won a one-score game this season. They went 11-0 in such games in the 2024 regular season.
"He's our fearless leader," Kelce said, snapping back into his own voice. "That guy is the most competitive human being I know. We love him for how he leads this team on the field, in practice, throughout the week. Right now, he's leading us to into victory, it's the best."
The Chiefs have a quick turnaround before facing the Dallas Cowboys on the road on Thanksgiving Day. That game will kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
