Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy is dictating MNF, and the San Francisco 49ers are moving in sync with him. Against the Indianapolis Colts , Purdy has already thrown four touchdowns , including a second-half strike to Jauan Jennings that ties his career-best mark. Every Brock Purdy touchdown has come with control. Calm reads. Sharp timing. Total command. Under the lights, Purdy looks comfortable running the moment instead of reacting to it.
The night started fast. Purdy hit Demarcus Robinson to tie the game early, setting a steady tone for the offense. Minutes later, he went right back to work, finding Christian McCaffrey for another score as the 49ers leaned into their rhythm. Eddy Pineiro converted both extra points, and San Francisco settled in. The Colts pushed back, but the star QB never rushed. Before halftime, Brock Purdy struck again, firing a touchdown pass to George Kittle to reclaim the lead at 21–14. Clean pocket. Confident release. The crowd felt it.

Brock Purdy shines as MNF unfolds
The second half opened with urgency, and right away, Purdy answered. Moments later, he connected with Jauan Jennings for his fourth touchdown of the night, tying his career high as MNF continues to unfold. As a result, the throw carried weight. So did, just as clearly, the response from the sideline. Purdy has previously reached four passing touchdowns on December 17, December 3, and October 8 of the 2023 season, but this time, it's arriving on one of football's biggest stages.
What stands out most, however, is the poise. Throughout the night, Purdy is spreading the ball. At the same time, he's trusting his reads. In turn, he's keeping the offense balanced while the game remains in motion. Because of that, the 49ers are playing with structure, and their quarterback is setting the pace. MNF moments don't wait. Instead, they demand answers in real time. Brock Purdy keeps giving them. As this night continues to unfold, the question lingers, how much more does he have left to show?
