All the way back in May, the Vikings made arguably their only big splash in free agency not named Kyler Murray by adding veteran 49ers receiver Jauan Jennings. Immediately following the signing came a massive onslaught of comments from 49ers fans and reporters alike about the perils of bringing in the star receiver. The deal, worth anywhere from $8 million to $13 million depending on incentives for just one year, is hardly a huge commitment to a guy with his track record who is still on the good side of 30. Jennings is a tough possession receiver with the ability to play inside and out; he’s a great blocker and has a proven track record of production while staying on the field even while many of his counterparts fell to injury.
