The Arizona Cardinals dropped the key domino in the San Francisco 49ers search for their new defensive coordinator.
ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday reported the Cardinals are hiring Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur as their head coach. That opened the door for the 49ers to bring in former Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris as their defensive coordinator − a move Schefter reported shortly after the LaFleur news. Morris was in the running for the Cardinals head coaching position.
