Braves being 'hot' is motivating Ha-Seong Kim in injury rehab appeared first on ClutchPoints . Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here .
The Atlanta Braves have had an excellent start to the 2026 MLB season, sitting at 22-10 and having won nine out of their ten series so far on the campaign. Making matters even more impressive for the Braves is the fact that they have experienced this level of success despite dealing with a plethora of injuries on their roster, including to pitchers Spencer Schwellenbach and Spencer Strider.
Also injured for the Braves is shortstop Ha-Seong Kim , who was projected to be a starter for the team this year, but has yet to play as he recovers from a finger injury.
Recently, Kim got 100% real on how watching the team get off to a hot start has helped him out in his recovery process.
"The team is hot, on fire, and that motivates me," said Kim, per Lexi Bowden of Fox5 Atlanta on X, formerly Twitter.
Many expected that the Braves would come out of the gates slow this year due to the injuries on their roster, including to Strider, Schwellenbach, Kim, and catcher Sean Murphy , among others.
However, not only have the Braves avoided a shaky start, but they currently sit with the best record in baseball, and have already built up a huge lead in the NL East, thanks in large part to big underachievement from the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets up to this point.
Even if some of the Braves' lesser known players cool off after hot starts, some of Atlanta's injury reinforcements, combined with an expected uptick in production from former league MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. , should be enough to keep the good times rolling for the Braves throughout the 2026 season.
Atlanta's season will continue this weekend with a road series against the Colorado Rockies .
