Jacob Misiorowski is turning heads in Milwaukee , and Brewers manager Pat Murphy isn’t hiding his admiration. After Misiorowski delivered a standout performance against the St. Louis Cardinals , Murphy summed it up in three words that carried a lot of weight: “That’s really special, man.”
When a manager uses that kind of language in a postgame press conference, it means something. Pat Murphy is not a man known for handing out empty compliments, which makes his glowing assessment of Misiorowski’s outing against the Cardinals all the more meaningful. Murphy has seen a lot of pitchers come through a major league clubhouse, and when he singles one out for praise like this, the rest of the baseball world should take notice.

Misiorowski has the kind of electric stuff that makes opposing lineups uncomfortable from the first pitch. His fastball carries genuine plus velocity, and when his secondary pitches are working in rhythm, he is capable of dominating any lineup in the National League Central. Against a Cardinals team that has shown the ability to grind out at-bats and make pitchers work deep into counts, a dominant performance is not something that comes easily.
The Brewers have always prided themselves on player development, and Misiorowski is the latest example of that organizational philosophy. Milwaukee has a long history of developing pitching talent from within and Misiorowski is emerging as one of the more exciting young arms in the National League. His combination of raw power and growing command is exactly what a contending team needs from a starting pitcher.
With the Brewers in a tight NL Central race, performances like Misiorowski’s against division foes are massive. If he keeps it up, Milwaukee’s rotation may be one of the most underrated strengths in the entire league coming out of the second half of the 2026 season.
