The Cleveland Browns continue to rebuild their offensive line. On the same day they re-signed Tevin Jenkins, they added former Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins of the Packers to the roster on a two-year deal. Jenkins is an interesting one because during his time with the Packers, he played significant snaps at all five offensive line spots and was the team's center in 2025 before a season-ending injury in November.
Jenkins is at his best when playing guard, so it will be interesting to see where the Browns want to play him. Could he play left guard, and Zion Johnson move to right, with Tevin Jenkins as the backup third guard, or will Cleveland ask Elgton Jenkins at center?
Where will the Browns play Elgton Jenkins?
Either way, this is another move that raises the floor of the room and is another step in the right direction of fixing the offensive line. Find the best five offensive linemen and put them on the field in whatever way works best for you.
At left guard for the Packers from 2022-2024, Jenkins allowed only four sacks total, including zero in 2023; he is a great pass protector. His run blocking can be a little inconsistent at times, but it isn't terrible overall. The biggest question is where the Browns will play him and when he will be healthy.
