BYU guard Kennard Davis Jr. has entered the transfer portal
Another BYU player is headed out the door.
Cougars guard Kennard Davis Jr. has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from Joe Tipton of On3 Sports.
Davis appeared in 32 games during his lone campaign in Provo, averaging 8.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 39.5% from the field.
Despite a solid showing down the stretch, the Southern Illinois transfer struggled to find consistency as a Cougar, never fully emerging as the strong 3-point shooter and defensive weapon Kevin Young and his staff hoped he would be at BYU.
Additionally, Davis served a 2-game suspension in November for violating BYU’s honor code.
Davis will have one remaining season of eligibility at his next school. He joins Xavion Staton , Rob Wright III and Dominique Diomande as BYU’s portal departures thus far in the offseason.
