St. Louis Cardinals All-Star Jordan Walker won the 2026 Home Run Derby on Monday night in Philadelphia . Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber blasted 11 homers in the final round, and it seemed as if he was on the verge of winning the derby when Walker found himself on his final swing and still needing three home runs to tie Schwarber. With the new rules, players are able to stay on their final swing of the event until they fail to hit a home run. Walker not only hit three consecutive long balls to tie Schwarber, but he added a fourth to win the Home Run Derby .
It was an electric performance without question. Walker's shocking win may have not pleased the fans in Philadelphia — who were cheering for the Phillies star — but Walker certainly earned their respect with the effort.
On Tuesday, Walker made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show and discussed his love for baseball following his victory on Monday.

"Honestly, for me personally, I've grown up living and breathing baseball," Walker said. "It was my favorite sport growing up. My parents talk about how I slept with my bat and my glove. I watched the Home Run Derby growing up, too. All-Star game. Everything like that. It's been my dream to do it. So being part of it, man, it was just special to me… I don't know if you can truly explain how much you love the game, so I'm doing my best right now.
"But being a part of that was unreal especially against the greats and future Hall of Famers like (Bryce) Harper and Schwarber. So, it was super cool."
Jordan Walker will look to have another big moment in the MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday night.
