Chiefs React to What Travis Kelce Did Before Texans Game
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have found themselves in a dire situation at this point in the season. After their Thanksgiving Day loss to the Dallas Cowboys , the Chiefs fell to 6-6 and are now in serious danger of being eliminated from playoff contention.
They host the Houston Texans on Sunday in a game that will have major implications on the Chiefs’ postseason hopes. Kelce arrived at Arrowhead Stadium a couple of hours before kickoff, and the four-time All-Pro tight end made sure to get his priorities right ahead of the Week 14 showdown. What Kelce did upon his arrival drew a reaction from the Chiefs on social media.
According to a projection model from NFL.com , the Chiefs enter Sunday’s contest with a 35% chance of making the playoffs. They have five games remaining in the regular season, including the Texans matchup. At this point, Kelce and Co. will need to win all of those games and hope that it's enough to see them through.
Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, made the trip to Arrowhead Stadium for Sunday’s big game. She was seen waiting for her son in the tunnel as the players arrived. Kelce looked locked in as he entered Arrowhead, but his mood noticeably changed as soon as he saw his mom. The pair shared an endearing pregame moment, with the Chiefs TE giving his mother a kiss and a warm hug.
The team posted the clip on Instagram along with a perfect reaction.
“Family first, even on gameday!” the Chiefs captioned their post.
Kelce enters Sunday’s game with 59 catches for 719 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games played this season. He will be looking to keep his foot on the gas on Sunday as the Chiefs leave it all on the line against the Texans.
Kickoff from Arrowhead is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.
