KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Could the Kansas City Chiefs be bringing in some late free agency additions?
It certainly seems possible after the Chiefs restructured DE George Karlaftis' contract on Wednesday.

According to Spotrac, the Chiefs converted $9.685 million of George Karlaftis' salary into a signing bonus, creating $7.7 million in cap space.
The Chiefs now have $12-13 million in cap space after the move, which will help the team sign their two first-round picks, CB Mansoor Delane and DT Peter Woods. They are the only two rookies the team has yet to sign.
It could also open the door for the Chiefs to snag a veteran acquisition at wide receiver or edge rusher.
The team began OTAs on Tuesday and is currently in Phase 3 of their offseason program. They will have mandatory minicamp from June 9-11 followed by training camp, the schedule for which has not yet been announced.
In the meantime, it will be intriguing to see if the Chiefs make another move as the offseason continues.
