The New York Jets are looking to get the bad taste out of their mouth from last season, and they've made sure to make the necessary moves to improve. One of the moves they made was signing Demario Davis , and this makes it his third time with the Jets .
The linebacker was asked during OTAs about his third stint, and he's even surprised about it.
"I never would've thought in a million years I'd be back two times let alone three times. But I guess this is just where I'm meant to be. I wouldn't have it any other way," Davis said via Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Davis spent his first four seasons in the league with the Jets before signing with the Cleveland Browns in 2016 on a two-year contract. He only played there for one season before he was traded back to the Jets in 2017. Davis signed with the New Orleans Saints after that season and spent eight years with the team before finding his way back to the Jets.
Earlier in the offseason, Davis spoke about how he was grateful to be back with the Jets, and leaving the last time felt like the mission was incomplete.
