Ducks secure commitment of former Nevada punter Bailey Ettridge
With starter James Ferguson-Reynolds using up his eligibility at the conclusion of this season, the Oregon Ducks were expected to be in the market for a punter ahead of next season. On Sunday, they found their answer, as former Nevada punter Bailey Ettridge announced his commitment to Oregon.
Ettridge is from the same town as Ferguson-Reynolds, with both residing in Geelong, VIC. They're following a similar path to joining the Ducks as well, as Ferguson-Reynolds joined the program after punting for Boise State .
Now, Ettridge will continue the Australian punting connection for the Ducks . He'll have three years of eligiblity after spending his freshman season with the Wolfpack.
Ettridge was one of the top punters in the Mountain West in 2025, earning an All-Conference Honorable Mention honor.
The 5-foot-11, 207-pounder punted 47 times for Nevada, averaging 44.7 yards per boot, downing 18 inside the 20-yard line and registering a long of 62 yards. For reference, Ferguson-Reynolds, albeit on just 33 punts this season, averaged 41.6 yards per punt and had a long of 58 yards.
Ferguson-Reynolds lauded Ettridge for his commitment, commenting that the "Ducks are in good hands."
