O'HALLORAN: Jaguars' latest win? Keeping coordinators, avoiding staff brain drain
The event is set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 9 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on NBC/NFL Network and available for streaming on Peacock/NFL+.
The Jaguars were represented at NFL Honors last year after defensive tackle Arik Armstead took home one of the most prestigious awards as the league's Walter Payton Man of the Year following the 2024 season.
Now, the team could see their cornerstones take home significant awards to put a cherry on top of a historical season that was cut short in the Wild Card round.
Will Trevor Lawrence become Jaguars' first MVP?
After missing seven games in 2024 due to various injuries, one of which required offseason shoulder surgery, Lawrence returned to form in 2025, putting up franchise record-breaking numbers by season's end.
Lawrence finished third in the NFL in total touchdowns (38), fifth in passing touchdowns (29), sixth in passing yards (4,007) and was tied for second in rushing touchdowns (nine) among NFL quarterbacks in 2025. Lawrence broke the team's franchise record for total touchdowns, helping the team earn 13 wins and an AFC South title.
Lawrence posted five game-winning drives (fourth-most in the NFL). In Week 15 against the Jets , Lawrence became the only player in NFL history with at least five passing touchdowns, 300 passing yards, one rushing touchdown and 50 rushing yards in a single game.
In Week 16 vs. Denver , Lawrence became the third player in NFL history to have at least 275 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and one rushing score in consecutive games. He became just the fourth player in NFL history to account for 10 touchdowns in a two-game span, joining Josh Allen (2024), Drew Brees (2019), and Patrick Mahomes (2018).
Lawrence finished the season as the AFC Player of the Month for December/January.
Alongside Lawrence, four other players have been nominated for AP MVP, including:
-
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen
-
New England Patriots QB Drake Maye
-
Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford

Will Liam Coen take home Coach of the Year award?

The Jaguars finished the year with eight straight games from Weeks 9-16 with at least 25 points scored. They won their final eight games of the year.
Under Coen, the Jaguars also became the third-best team in turnover margin at +13, boasting the league's second-best defense at getting takeaways with 31. The Jaguars finished as the sixth-best scoring offense (287.9 PPG) and became the league's top run defense, allowing just 85.6 YPG.
Coen's offense finished the year breaking several franchise records, including points scored (474), touchdowns scored (55), points per game (27.9), and first downs (356).
