Reports indicate that the 32-year-old guard is finalizing a three-year deal with the Aces, according to Andraya Carter of ESPN. After playing in Las Vegas last season, Loyd will remain with the organization for the next few seasons.

“BREAKING: 3x WNBA Champion and 6x All-Star, Jewell Loyd, is finalizing a three-year deal with the Las Vegas Aces,” reported Carter.

The financial details of the contract are not yet known. Regardless, Las Vegas aims to remain competitive by ensuring Loyd stays on the roster for at least next season.

The Aces initially acquired the former Rookie of the Year in a three-team trade in February 2025. Loyd was dealt from the Seattle Storm to Las Vegas, while Kelsey Plum was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks . Seattle received draft compensation in the trade.

With a new deal on the horizon, Jewell Loyd will play her 11th season in the WNBA with the Aces. She will likely continue her role as a high-end option after helping Las Vegas secure its third championship (2022, 2023, 2025).

Loyd has the privilege of playing freely with the Aces, as she doesn’t have to be the main scoring option like she was with the Storm. Last season, Jewell Loyd averaged 11.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest through 44 games played. She also owned a 38.9% field goal percentage while hitting 38.2% of her three-point attempts.
