In the wake of Landry Shamet re-signing with the New York Knicks , the sharpshooter celebrated the new contract by using a viral Wolf of Wall Street meme .
Shamet posted the famous "I'm not leaving" scene from The Wolf of Wall Street on his Instagram Stories. However, he photoshopped his face on Jordan Belfort's (played by Leonardo DiCaprio ) body.
He tagged the host of the Lopsided podcast, Danny LoPriore, and wrote, "This is up there with Da Vinci bro," over the video of the scene.

Shamet was rewarded for his historic postseason run with a new contract. While he could've left for bigger offers , he decided to remain in New York to try to defend the championship in 2026.
He signed a new four-year, $24 million deal to stay with the Knicks. His agent, George S. Landberg of GSL Sports Group, got it done on Monday, June 29, 2026.
In his second year with the Knicks, they won a championship. He only averaged 9.3 points per game in the regular season, but he caught fire during the playoffs.
He was especially great in the Eastern Conference Finals. Shamet shot 91.7% from three in the series, making 11 of his 12 attempts from downtown. His points off the bench were crucial to the Knicks sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers .
Shamet didn't shoot as well in the NBA Finals, making 30.8% of his three-pointers, but they still won. His best performance came in Game 1. He scored 13 points (tied for his series-high) and made five of his nine attempts.
Throughout his career, Shamet has been a journeyman. He played for the Philadelphia 76ers , the Los Angeles Clippers , the Brooklyn Nets , the Phoenix Suns , and the Washington Wizards before landing in New York.
He signed with the Knicks during the 2024 offseason. After being waived, he joined the Westchester Knicks through the NBA G League Draft. He'd appear in 50 games during the 2024-25 season. Shamet re-signed on a one-year deal in 2025, and he played in 51 games (starting 12 of them).
