LeBron James found himself in an unusual situation on the golf course, and the moment quickly caught attention online.
A clip shared by Steve Stoute showed the NBA star weighing a risky decision.
The footage highlights James' growing connection to golf, a sport he has embraced in recent years. He often plays during downtime and has even shared rounds with top professionals, showing clear enthusiasm for the game.

This time, however, it was not about technique or competition. It was about whether retrieving a golf ball was worth the potential danger nearby.
LeBron James hesitates as alligator lurks near golf ball
In the video, shared on Stoute's Instagram story, James approaches the edge of a water hazard where his ball had landed. An alligator can be seen close by, watching his movements as he considers his next step.
He debates with his son Bronny James and Stoute about whether the risk is worth it, with the animal appearing to "sneak" closer while remaining in view.
The 41-year-old hesitates, clearly aware of the situation, before eventually deciding to retrieve the ball. The moment blends tension with humour, capturing a rare off-court scenario involving the Lakers star.

While James' love for golf is evident, his skills have recently come under scrutiny. A video he posted last month sparked criticism from fans analysing his swing.
One reaction summed up the sentiment: "Stance looks narrow, weak grip, face is a bit more closed than I like, way too fast of a back swing, short backswing, left arm is a train wreck, zero weight transfer."
Despite the critiques, 'King James' continues to embrace the sport, and he do not seem to be bothered by any comments from fans.
