In Mike Vrabel’s first season as Patriots coach, New England sits 12-3 and clinched a playoff berth before Christmas.
Drake Maye and company won in dramatic fashion in Baltimore on Sunday night, erasing an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to leave M&T Stadium with a 28-24 win.
Fifteen games into the season, Vrabel believes his team has formed an identity, and the coach did his best to define it on WEEI Monday morning.
“I think we’re pretty resilient. I think we’ve got a bunch of guys that can help us on any given night — I think that’s something," Vrabel said. “I think we play hard. I hope that we play hard. I hope that it comes off the screen. No more evident here than the last play. The play is never over. Guys being able to chase the football on defense and offensively guys trying to finish longer than the guy with the ball. Trying to make some plays downfield and spring some guys.
“Sometimes we don’t always make the right decision, hopefully we continue to work on that and focus on that, especially in the heat of the moment,” Vrabel added. “But I felt like we competed for four quarters.”
