Just when it seemed as though disaster was going to strike, the Vegas Golden Knights turned the tables on the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.

Despite falling into a three-goal hole in the opening 20 minutes of play, the Golden Knights would score five unanswered goals, including a three-goal outburst of their own in the second period, en route to a 5-3 win at T-Mobile Arena, and they now lead the series three games to zero.
Forward Mitch Marner continued his impressive run in the postseason, adding two more assists. Afterward, he touted the veteran leadership of the club that didn't turn on one another when the going got tough as part of the reason for the comeback.
"I think we obviously have an older group that just stays patient and calm, and we don't turn on each other, we don't get mad at each other," Marner said via Spittin' Chiclets on X. "We know everyone is trying to do their best out there, every single shift. So that was kind of the talk throughout that intermission, just, keep doing what we're doing, we're doing the right things. We're getting scoring chances, we're getting looks. If we keep doing that, we'll get rewarded eventually. I think we did that going into the second (period), and then throughout the second, and we got rewarded for it."
So far in the postseason, Marner leads all skaters with seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points in 15 games. He and the Golden Knights can punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final with a victory on Tuesday.
