MLB Home Run Predictions Today: HR Prop Bets for Sunday, May 3

Sunday's “See-Ya Selections” are locked in, and this slate is loaded with hitters in prime spots to go deep. With favorable splits and pitchers giving up loud contact, the conditions are right for a big-time power surge.

We have Manny Machado heating up at the plate against a lefty who’s been getting crushed by right-handed power, Ryan O'Hearn in a perfect split matchup against a fly-ball arm vulnerable to lefties, and Riley Greene bringing a hot bat into a matchup against a pitcher struggling vs. lefties.

Best Home Run Props Today

Manny Machado Home Run Bet (+364)

Signs of life are showing for Machado, who’s heating up after a slow start. He’s batting .333 over the last week with two home runs and has been strong vs. lefties. That sets up well against Anthony Kay , who owns a 6.12 ERA and has struggled with right-handed bats. Opponents from that side are hitting .325, and all four home runs he’s allowed have come against righties, making this a favorable power spot.

Ryan O'Hearn Home Run Bet (+700)

Chase Burns has been solid early, but the profile creates some risk against power bats. He’s a fly-ball arm with a 40.7% hard-hit rate, and lefties have done the most damage, accounting for four of the five home runs he’s allowed. That lines up well for O'Hearn, who thrives in this split. O’Hearn is hitting .317 vs. right-handers with four of his five home runs coming in those matchups. This is a spot where his power can show up.

Riley Greene Home Run Bet(+512)

A strong matchup sets up for Greene to leave the yard Sunday against Jack Leiter . Greene has hit three of his four home runs this season vs. right-handers and has already had success in this matchup, going 2-for-3 with a double and triple. Leiter has struggled, posting a 5.17 ERA and allowing a high rate of fly balls and hard contact. Lefties are hitting .304 against him, with four of the six home runs he’s allowed coming from that side.

Editor's note: Yandy Diaz (oblique) has been replaced with Greene after the team announced Diaz was ruled out.
