The Green Bay Packers are ready to make some noise in 2026 after going one-and-done in the playoffs last year. Green Bay's complete schedule will drop on Thursday night as part of the NFL's official schedule release . But the league just announced one island game that features the Packers as a road team.
The Packers have been selected to play in the NFL's first ever Thanksgiving Eve game in 2026. They will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams at 8PM ET on November 25th. It will stream on Netflix.
This is just the second time that the Packers have played a regular season game on a Wednesday . The first time on September 28th, 1938 against the Chicago Cardinals in Buffalo.
Green Bay has played on Thanksgiving every year over the last three seasons. They hosted the Dolphins at Lambeau Field in 2024 and traveled to play the Lions in both 2023 and 2025. But now the Packers will make league history by playing on the day before Thanksgiving.
The game should be exciting both for its historic nature and because LA and Green Bay should be in the NFC playoff race in late November. This game could have incredibly huge stakes and will be must-watch television either way for most NFL fans.
Not much else is known about the rest of Green Bay's schedule at this time. The Packers will not play overseas in 2026 as the NFL already announced all nine international games on Wednesday.
Packers fans will learn about the rest of their 2026 schedule on Thursday night.
