The Toronto Raptors continued reshaping their roster in free agency by agreeing to a one-year deal with veteran forward Kyle Anderson . According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Anderson has agreed to a one-year, $3.9 million contract with Toronto.

The move comes after the Raptors' blockbuster acquisition of Kawhi Leonard earlier this offseason, reuniting two former San Antonio Spurs teammates. Anderson and Leonard spent four seasons together in San Antonio from 2014-18 before their careers took different paths. Leonard was traded to Toronto ahead of the Raptors' 2018-19 championship season, while Anderson departed in free agency to join the Memphis Grizzlies. Now, the two veterans will once again share the same locker room as Toronto looks to build a contender around Leonard.
Anderson arrives after a whirlwind 2025-26 campaign that saw him suit up for three different franchises. He began the season with the Utah Jazz, appearing in 20 games before being included in the trade that sent Jaren Jackson Jr. to Utah. Anderson finished the year with the Memphis Grizzlies before being waived in February, after which he signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the remainder of the season.
Despite the constant roster movement, Anderson remained a productive rotational player. Across 43 games, he averaged 6.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 53 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from 3-point range. He now joins a Raptors team that looks to become an immediate contender in the Eastern Conference by bringing back Leonard to pair with young forward Scottie Barnes.
Anderson also serves as a suitable forward replacement for Sandro Mamukelashvili , who departed the Raptors to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers at the start of free agency.
