OKLAHOMA CITY — If the 2026 summer is the offseason where Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti makes drastic changes to the roster, don't expect All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to influence decisions. Gilgeous-Alexander's 35 points in Thunder's Game 7 came in a 111-103 losing effort to the San Antonio Spurs , elminating the defending champions before reaching the NBA Finals.
While the Thunder front office could use its assets to make trades over the summer, Gilgeous-Alexander told reporters that he'll be keeping himself out of those conversations .
"I will give zero input," Gilgeous-Alexander said. "I will let Sam Presti , the greatest GM ever, do his job."
For the eighth consecutive season, there will be a new NBA champion crowned between the Spurs and the New York Knicks in this year's Finals.
