The Pittsburgh Steelers will get to see Jordyn Tyson up close and personal yet. The Arizona State receiver, a first-round prospect in next month's 2026 NFL Draft, will get on the field before hearing his name called, despite a nagging hamstring ailment.
According to ESPN's Field Yates , Tyson will work out for teams on April 17, doing positional work only. The previous thought was that, as he deals with the injury that hampered him last season and kept him from showcasing his on-field talent at the NFL Scouting Combine, Tyson wouldn't have been able to audition.
The Athletic's Dane Brugler reported last week that Tyson won't be working out at the Sun Devils' pro day.
Tyson dealt with a major knee injury in 2022, tearing his ACL, MCL and PCL while playing for Colorado. He sat out most of his first season with the Sun Devils after transferring while recovering from the same issue. Along with the hamstring injury, which he suffered last season, he had a collarbone injury the campaign before that.
NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah recently tabbed Tyson as the No. 21 overall player on his 2026 NFL Draft big board. The Steelers have the No. 21 overall pick in the order.
Tyson was coached by Steelers legend Hines Ward at Arizona State.
