The Pittsburgh Steelers added a potential impact wide receiver in Michael Pittman Jr. this month, picking up the veteran wideout from the Indianapolis Colts via trade, but according to one former NFL general manager, the Steelers could be adding another version of him.
Former Tennessee Titans general manager Ran Carthon compared Washington wideout Denzel Boston to Pittman in a recent appearance on CBS Sports.
"He gave me the feel of a Michael Pittman Jr.-style wide receiver," Carthon said Thursday on the "With the First Pick" podcast. "That was my comp for him. I (wrote), 'Will have to be moved around some and schemed open, but I think he is a reliable hands-catcher that is very quarterback friendly. So him not running (the 40-yard dash), I think that just confirms to everybody that he was gonna run in the low-4.5s."

The Steelers have done their due diligence on Boston this offseason, first meeting with him at the NFL Combine, and now reportedly setting up a pre-draft visit in Pittsburgh.
Boston, who stands at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, is coming off a strong redshirt junior season with the Huskies. He hauled in 62 receptions for 882 yards and 11 touchdowns, building off a strong redshirt sophomore campaign, and he's likely to be a high pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. And he'd like to end up in Pittsburgh.
"I would love (for) the Steelers to come pick me up," Boston said . "I'd love for any team to come pick me up. Playing with DK (Metcalf) would be great. Funny story, I actually predicted to my dad that the Seahawks were gonna draft DK back in his class. … I am a fan of his, for sure. Big, dominant receiver."
