After All-Star Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference standings, he continued an absurd streak that dates back to his high school days. Holmgren's 30 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks led the Thunder to a 128-110 blowout win against the LA Clippers on Wednesday. He also finished with two steals.
Holmgren has never finished worse than No. 1 throughout his basketball career, as noted on Reddit NBA.

Thunder All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led his team to No. 1 in the Western Conference standings for the third year in a row. After a 128-110 win against the Clippers on the road, Gilgeous-Alexander reflected on the regular season as the Thunder clinched first place in the final week of the regular season.
"It's impressive," Gilgeous-Alexander said. "Obviously, none of it means anything if you don't win in the end, and you know that. But teams that win in the end have some of the same characteristics and traits, and check off the same boxes. So, checking off those boxes is kind of just like knowing we're headed in the right direction.
"Obviously, we're far from the finish line of where we want to go, but like I said, it lets us know we're heading right there."
The Thunder will close out its last road trip of the season against the Nuggets on Friday.
