The New York Knicks just got annoyed by Tyrese Haliburton again. Haliburton found a new way to butt into the Knicks' picture ahead of their celebration . Except the Indiana Pacers praised the very team that ended his NBA Finals hopes last season: The Oklahoma City Thunder .
"Hali" showed up on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday to help break down the upcoming 2026 championship contest. The Thunder still needs to win their next game over the San Antonio Spurs in order to face New York . Yet Haliburton threw subtle shade at Knicks fans.
"New York has a lot of passionate fans. And a lot of people love the Knicks. But there's a lot of celebrity fans in there, and sometimes they're too cool to get super loud. Whereas OKC gets loud," Haliburton said. "I don't know if it's as loud as OKC."
Haliburton doubled down on his Paycom Center belief with McAfee.
" Oklahoma City was the best road environment that we played in last season. It's unbelievably loud in that building," Haliburton added.
Indeed "Hali" knows all about the decibel levels inside the Thunder's home. Granted he and the Pacers needed to silence the noise inside Madison Square Garden last season.
Haliburton, unfortunately, missed the entire 2025-26 season due to his torn Achilles . He watched his team struggle throughout the season without him, going 19-63 overall one year after claiming the East. Haliburton now watched the rival Knicks breeze through their playoff bracket. New York swept the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers to return to the Finals.
But they may not get to hear the Thunder crowd just yet. San Antonio can still win the series by pulling out wins in Game 6 and then Game 7.
