UNC basketball to be without Henri Veesaar vs. Pitt

The North Carolina Tar Heels knew they would be without star freshman Caleb Wilson for Saturday's game against Pitt in the Dean Dome. Minutes before the tip, the news worsened.

Center Henri Veesaar was ruled out because of illness. Veesaar had been questionable with both an injury and illness. The illness, apparently, was more of a factor in the decision than the injury. Veesaar has been sick since getting back from Miami after the loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Veesaar is UNC's second-leading scorer and rebounder behind only Wilson. So losing him is a tough one for the Tar Heels.

With Veesaar out, the Tar Heels will look to Zayden High who gets his first career start. Jarin Stevenson will also be looked at to provide key minutes as will Jonathan Powell.

The Tar Heels will travel to NC State on Tuesday. First, UNC has to take care of business on Saturday.
