Last night's Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks was a movie, to say the least.
In what seemed like a lullaby of a game, where the Spurs were up by as much as 29 points at one point, the Knicks stormed back, pulling off the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, winning the game 106-107, and taking a commanding 3-1 lead.
OG Anunoby saved the day with his historic tip-in game-winner, finishing the game with 33 points, behind Jalen Brunson 's 36.
For the young Spurs, however, the ride back to San Antonio will be an excruciating one, as their choke job will be talked about for the next 72 hours, up until Game 5, which is scheduled for Saturday.
Knicks fans threw objects at Wemby after the game
It would be an understatement to say that Madison Square Garden was absolutely electric following the end of the game, as the hometown team's fans stormed the streets of New York , celebrating like never before.
However, the fans' celebration didn't stop there. In typical New York fashion, they took it to another level when they circled the Spurs' hotel and the team bus after the game, where they let the players know about their late-game stain and eventual loss, so much so that fans started to throw certain objects, including eggs, at players, hitting Victor Wembanyama in the back of the head.
Wembanyama finished Game 4 with 24 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 9-25 from the field, and missing both game-deciding free throws in the final minute.
Knicks fans have been making headlines
Despite New York's tremendous success, the celebratory part outside of basketball has been questionable. Fans of the Knicks have been involved in acts of violence towards both themselves and Spurs fans, which spilled over to San Antonio's players.
No matter what accomplishments the hometown team achieves, such behavior can't be justified, as multiple viral videos have been circulating online.
Going into Game 5, all eyes will be on the action as the series returns to SA.
