- Video Shows Patrick Mahomes Struggling After Embarrassing Result
A funny moment involving Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes caught attention online after a major college football result.
Chiefs rookie linebacker Jeff Bassa shared a video on Instagram showing Mahomes wearing an Oregon Ducks jersey shortly after the Texas Tech Red Raiders ' loss. The clip quickly went viral for Mahomes' amusing reaction.

In the video, Mahomes was seen grabbing the collar of the jersey as if he plans to take it off. Instead, he struggles (suggesting a bet) and just removes his cap and casually greets Bassa with a smile. The playful moment followed Oregon's dominant 23-0 win over Texas Tech in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal.
Oregon delivered a statement performance in the Orange Bowl. Oregon shut out Texas Tech behind a defense that forced four turnovers. Freshman Brandon Finney Jr. recorded three takeaways, while Matayo Uiagalelei fired up the scoring with a key forced fumble.
Quarterback Dante Moore threw for 234 yards as Oregon improved to 13-1. The Ducks move on to face the Indiana Hoosiers in the Peach Bowl CFP semifinal.

While college football buzzed, Mahomes is fighting his own battle off the field. The Chiefs star is rehabbing after knee surgery and is expected back early next season.
Talking about Mahomes' recovery in mid-December, the Chiefs' vice president of sports medicine and performance Rick Burkholder said , "Every player is different. Every sport is different. Every position is different. [Mahomes] is so in tune to what he does, he does it a little quicker. Ballpark on this is nine months, but it could be a month or two more, a month or two less."
Kansas City , now 6-10, will miss the playoffs but remains focused on finishing strong. The Chiefs have lost five straight games and are facing the Las Vegas Raiders in the final game of the season. Kansas City visits Las Vegas at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
