The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a pair of roster moves prior to their Week 17 game with the Indianapolis Colts .

The Jaguars will be elevating safety Juan Thornhill and offensive lineman Jerome Carvin for Sunday's game.

The addition of Carvin to the game day roster comes with Robert Hainsey questionable and Patrick Mekari already ruled out. Carvin will provide some added depth along the interior offensive line.

Carvin went undrafted in 2023 and has no regular-season NFL experience. In the preseason, he has played mostly center, along with some snaps at guard.

Thornhill has appeared in  96 games  over his career, making 75 starts at safety, and has played in 10 playoff games, while winning two Super Bowls.

During that span, Thornhill has allowed a completion rate of 64.2% on 187 targets , while making 399 total tackles, and recording eight interceptions with 23 pass breakups.

Earlier this season, Thornhill was with Pittsburgh , where he appeared in nine games defensively.

The addition of Thornhill to the game day roster provides some added versatility in the secondary if needed, and perhaps some special teams help.

The Jacksonville secondary is without Jourdan Lewis , who was placed on injured reserve. It remains to be seen what role the recently signed Keith Taylor will have on such short notice.

The Jaguars also announced on Saturday that Bhayshul Tuten has been downgraded from questionable to out for this game.
