Wisconsin loses out on another top out-of-state four-star recruit
Once again, the Wisconsin Badgers have been beaten out for one of their priority class of 2027 targets.
While Luke Fickell seems unbeatable when it comes to Wisconsin natives, top out-of-state talent, such as Tate Wallace , continually slips away from him.
Wallace is a four-star linebacker out of Iowa who is currently the No. 2 player in the state. He'll finish out his senior season at Regina High School in Iowa City before reporting to Minnesota, according to Leyton Roberts .
The 6-foot-2 recruit chose the Golden Gophers over the Badgers and Arizona State . Whether or not the Sun Devils were truly in the mix remains to be seen, but Wisconsin definitely thought they had a chance at landing 247Sports No. 29 linebacker in the class.
Earlier in the week, Fickell's staff failed to make enough of an impression on four-star cornerback Raheem Floyd . Now, Wallace is the latest name this team has missed out on. Either way, they still have a Top 15 recruiting class of 2027 and are looking to keep it that way as things begin to heat up heading into summer.
