The New York Yankees had another clubhouse issue to address on Tuesday after Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s in-game lollipop moment became a topic of discussion following Monday night's 5-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

Chisholm drew attention after playing second base with a Blow Pop in his mouth during the series opener. The clip spread quickly online, drawing criticism while adding a distraction for a Yankees club trying to steady itself. New York is 5-5 in its last 10 games this season, including a 3-4 mark over its last seven.
The situation grew when manager Aaron Boone addressed it Tuesday morning during an appearance on the Talkin' Yanks podcast. Boone made clear he was unhappy with what happened and said the Yankees would handle the issue internally before returning to the field.
The timing added to the scrutiny. New York has been searching for consistency, and Chisholm has continued working through offensive ups and downs. That made a strange mid-game image feel larger.
The New York Post Sports' Greg Joyce took to X, formerly Twitter, and shared Chisholm's response after reporters asked about Boone's frustration and the conversations that followed.

"We're just gonna keep that private."
The answer showed the Yankees' second baseman had no interest in extending the public conversation. Instead, he kept the matter behind clubhouse doors after speaking with team personnel.
The issue carried another layer because reports said this was the second lollipop-related incident involving Chisholm this season . Boone said he only recently learned about a similar moment during a game vs. the Boston Red Sox .
Beyond appearances, the Yankees view the matter as a safety concern. Running, sliding, or diving with a hard candy stick in a player's mouth creates unnecessary risk during live action.

For now, the 28-year-old infielder appears ready to move forward and help the club refocus.
