CLEMSON — Clemson basketball 's upset win vs. No. 2 Duke on Saturday sparked an interesting social media move.
The No. 21 Tigers ' thrilling Top 25 victory prompted Clemson football offensive coordinator Garrett Riley to change the profile picture on his X account, formerly known as Twitter, to Clemson basketball coach Brad Brownell . The only issue is that Brownell doesn't use his account, so he won't see it.
"I'm not on that, so tell Garrett thank you," Brownell said. "If I knew how to put his on mine, I would."
Riley is entering his third season as Clemson's offensive coordinator, helping the Tigers' offense average 34.7 points a game, which was 18th in the country.
Clemson basketball's offense was dominant on Saturday, too, outscoring Duke 40-22 in the paint and shooting 59%.
Many of Clemson's football players were at the game, where the Tigers (19-5, 11-2 ACC) beat Duke (20-3, 12-1), including cornerbacks Ashton Hampton and Avieon Terrell, wide receivers T.J. Moore and Tristan Smith, and tight end Olsen Patt-Henry.
Spring football practice begins Feb. 28.
