Amid negotiations for what's likely to be a historic contract, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is keeping his focus on the football field.
As he enters his fourth season in the NFL, he's set to see a payday that'd likely land north of $50 million per year.
Still, according to Lawrence, his focus is solely on trying to be the best player he can be and helping his team win.

"I'm aware of what's going on, but I try to keep my focus on doing my job out here," Lawrence said after the seventh organized team activities (OTAs) session from the Miller Electric Center. "I have full belief that it'll take care of itself and that's not something that I need to worry about. That's why I pay people and hire people to do that for me."
While he's not focused on it, Lawrence did say it'd be "ideal" to have the deal finished before training camp starts at the end of July.
"Either way, like I've said before, I have the same job so I can't always control all those factors, but I have the same job to do either way," he said. "But yeah, I mean, of course that'd be ideal, just to get it done as soon as you can and kind of move forward."
'Owning it more': Lawrence talks growth in offense
Doug Pederson and Press Taylor lauded Lawrence last week for how much he's grown in their time together.
Pederson explained that Lawrence has turned into one of the vocal leaders on the team and will approach the coaches with input on the offense. Lawrence expounded on some of his growth on Monday.
"Just owning [the system] more and more every year," Lawrence said. "I feel like this year, especially, I've been able to express more of things that I like want to do more of, maybe things I don't like or whatever it is, and been able to communicate a lot with the coaches, which has been great."
Taylor talked about the evaluation of the offense that the team did this offseason and Lawrence is a big part of that process. This is the time of year where they lay the foundation for what happens in the season.
And Lawrence has taken to the role well.
"I feel like I'm really in sync with the staff and kind of what the goals are and what we wanted to accomplish this off season," Lawrence said. "Going into training camp, it's going to be another list of things, but no, I feel really good and that's the goal is to get better every year."
