CBS analyst and former NFL star J.J. Watt is among those questioning a recent $25,000 fine for Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon for criticism of officials.
"This has not received enough attention," Watt tweeted . "He got fined for something he didn't say. Publicly complained about it (correctly). Then got fined for that. What are we doing here?"

Mixon played his first seven NFL seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals .

"Everybody knows how it is playing up here," Mixon said after Houston's playoff loss to the Chiefs at Kansas City 's Arrowhead Stadium.. "You can never leave it into the refs' hands. The whole world sees, man."
Mixon and his agent, Peter Schaffer, said the NFL told Mixon he was being fined for his criticism of officials, but the league included a TJ Houshmandzadeh tweet attributed to Mixon in explaining the fine.
"Why play the game if every 50/50 call goes with Chiefs ," former Bengals wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh tweeted . "These officials are (trash) & bias(ed)."

"I'm getting fined by the (NFL) for what someone else said," Mixon tweeted Wednesday . "What's next? I get fined by them for Connor McDavid cross-checking an opponent on a (NHL) game!"
Earlier this month, Watt said a team with Joe Burrow , Ja'Marr Chase and Trey Hendrickson not making the playoffs is mind-blowing .
