A pretty decent week for the Rangers

Texas Rangers pitcher Jacob deGrom had his opening start this season delayed a bit, but he was on his game against Baltimore Orioles.

Danny Jansen had three hits, including a three-run homer in the seventh inning that helped the Texas Rangers to an 8-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night. Jacob deGrom allowed three runs in 4 2/3 innings in his first start of the season. The Texas right-hander was scratched Saturday because of neck stiffness.

The Texas Rangers got the better of the Chicago White Sox, claiming a 3-2 one-run victory. It was a rare low-scoring game.

The Texas Rangers added Danny Jansen to work in a tandem with Kyle Higashioka behind the plate and to be their safety net in 2027.

Perhaps more importantly, it sends a message to Texas Rangers fans and the rest of baseball that Texas is, in fact, here to win in 2026.
