Josiah Ragsdale, one of the outfielders that the Cardinals acquired in the JoJo Romero-Dustin May trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, could arrive in St. Louis by 2027 because of his rare blend of speed and power. He had 25 doubles, 24 homers and 37 steals in High-A and Double-A in 2026.

The St. Louis Cardinals have a lot of firepower down in the minors right now.

Catcher Rainiel Rodriguez and lefty reliever Sandro Santana were named to MLB Pipeline's first-team All-MiLB Prospect squad. Josiah Ragsdale, another player the Cards acquired at the MLB Trade Deadline, was a second-team pick. Only the Dodgers (4) had more prospects honored than the Cards (3).

Rainiel Rodrirguez, the top prospect in the Cardinals organization, homered two times for the second straight game, while No. 2 prospect Liam Doyle pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Josiah Ragsdale, acquired in the Lars Nootbaar trade, also homered on Tuesday.

The Cardinals got a haul for Dustin May, but the trade looks even better almost a month later.

The Cardinals signed Dustin May last December knowing they could likely flip him to a contender for prospects at the MLB Trade Deadline. The Cards are excited about getting promising outfield prospects Alexander Frias and Josiah Ragsdale from the rival Brewers for May and JoJo Romero.
