For the first time ever the NBA All-Star Game will be a four-team tournament to determine the winner.
The teams are being led by TNT "Inside the NBA" analysts Charles Barkley, Candace Parker, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith.

The action begins Friday night with the Rising Stars game. Parker will coach the winner of that team in the four-team All-Star Game tournament on Saturday night.

Team Chuck: Donovon Mitchell, Nikola Jokic , Trae Young , Shai Gilgeous-Alexander , Victor Wembanyama , Pascal Siakam , Alperen Sengun and Karl-Anthony Towns .

Team Candace: Candace Parker will lead the winning team from Friday night's Rising Stars game.
What is the new NBA All-Star Game format?
The first team to 40 points wins the game. The first game will be Team Kenny against Team Chuck at 8:20 p.m. Saturday. That is followed at 9:10 p.m. by Team Shaq against the Rising Stars team. The winners of each will play at 10 p.m. in the championship game.

Members of the winning team receive $125,000 each. Players on the second-place team get $50,000 each, while players on the third- and fourth-place teams get $25,000 each.

NBA Rising Stars 2025 roster
The Rising Stars game is also a four-team tournament format. Teams were drafted by Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond — the legendary Golden State Warriors Run TMC trio — and there is a fourth team consisting of G League players.
