On his 41st birthday, running back Chris Johnson shared a devastating update regarding his ongoing battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Initially diagnosed in May 2025 at the age of 39, the former NFL Offensive Player of the Year revealed his condition in June 2026.

The former NFL star is battling ALS.

Johnson announced in June on "Good Morning America" that he had been diagnosed with ALS last year.
