The Minnesota Wild have recalled 23-year-old defenseman Carson Lambos from the AHL and have assigned veteran forward Justin Kirkland to the Iowa Wild ahead of tonight's fixture against the St. Louis Blues.

Carson Lambos and the seven other Minnesota Wild players placed on waivers yesterday have cleared and will report to the AHL's Iowa Wild.

Minnesota risks losing a former top prospect as roster cuts intensify. Other NHL teams now have a 24-hour window to claim the physical defenseman before his Iowa assignment.

Carson Lambos faces a pivotal training camp as the former first-rounder loses waiver eligibility, forcing Minnesota to choose between a crowded roster or risking his defensive potential elsewhere.

The former first-round pick returns to Minnesota’s blue line depth, aiming to build on his NHL debut and secure a permanent role within a crowded defensive rotation.

Lambos showcases poise and skill in his NHL debut, leading defensemen in GameScore and earning praise for his strong, confident performance.
