Carolina moves past Montreal, which means we have heated rivalry.
because you live in the state of Carolina, I am from Las Vegas- the most hated team in all the NHL.
We have Hurricanes versus Vegas.
You going, you going Owen for this matchup, Caroline?
Oh, I am absolutely going Owen for this matchup.
I mean, the state- Yeah of North Carolina, the entire state, I live in Charlotte, obviously the Canes are in Raleigh, but the entire state of North Carolina has just been buzzing.
And I think that there's this kind of, just like there's feeling with postseason hockey.
It just takes the entire city over.
It's exactly what the Canes have done.
And I also think there is just something beautiful and poetic about a team that has constantly been in the conversation, a team that has constantly been knocking on the door of the finals but hasn't breaking through, finally doing it.
I think there's so many sports fans that can resonate with that, of like you're just almost quite there, and you can't do it, and you finally do it.
It's like, oh, finally, we're here.
Now, they haven't won anything yet, but still, being here, I think, is a special moment for so many Canes fans.
So you're looking at a team that has been the best team in the East, taking on a team, and it- they've been the best team in, you know, been the best team in the East, been one of the best teams in the East for a long time now, over the last eight years, versus a team in Vegas that got hot at the right time.
Like, there is something intoxicating about a team that is playing their best hockey at the most important time.
So a team that's been the best team versus a team that's been playing their best hockey, oh, I'm here for it.
