Players and staff frustrated that Castellanos was getting so much leash from Rob Thompson, a person who Castellanos has been incredibly open about disliking.

No notes app for Nick Castellanos, going straight with the pen.

What is not okay, and what is different, and what is unique, and what led to this release, is Nick Castellanos bringing a fricking beer into the dugout during a game, and yelling at his manager in front of his teammates and in front of cameras.

And for Rob Thompson to, after that, after suspending him effectively for one game, or benching him for one game, for Thompson to be like, "I'm gonna play you 30 more times," is almost, like, too much taking the high road.

I think that is why the blame here rests predominantly with Castellanos.
