The ACC is a complete and total disaster.
Uh, Duke is technically alive and 5 and 4.
Would that be the worst case scenario for the playoffs?
Is it how many more losses?
Well, I guess you couldn't tack another loss on Duke and then keep them alive.
And they have to win out.
No, they have to win out.
Let's briefly discuss the, the doomsday scenario in the ACC of Duke winning out and winning the ACC championship because What if JMU wins out and wins the Sun Belt and it's 12-1, and then your American champ is 11-2?
Does the ACC champ make the playoffs?
Cause I, I think people get confused.
They think oh, They think there's a spot guaranteed for every power conference, so I think a lot of casuals think that.
It's not.
It is the 5 highest ranked conference champs.
I think after yesterday, because, or yeah, after Friday night, I think the ACC would be OK because Tulane went to, which was my pick, by the way, Tulane went to Memphis, won on the road.
We're, we're handing out probably too many losses at the Group of Five level right now because I was actually gonna stump at some point in the show for, hey, watch out for James Madison.
Especially last night because San Diego State was had one loss.
They got whipped overnight basically at Hawaii.
James Madison is coming on pretty strong as well.
I don't know if they would have the virtue of the resume necessarily, guys, but also watch out, they would play Southern Miss most likely in the uh Sun Belt championship.
I don't know how that would reflect as a resume win.
But it does feel like there's more momentum.
I, I, I feel like the G5 picture, Andy, is too clouded for anybody to jump an ACC champion.
Obviously, there's like 4 teams, still have 4 or 5 teams still in the midst, right?
Pitt Pitt, SMU, um, all, all those, you know, Virginia.
Pittsburgh is your, is your ACC and general college football agent of chaos, because Notre Dame plays at Pitt this coming week, and then Pitt goes back into ACC play where they only have one loss.
They can really if Pitt wins out, it really is gonna screw some stuff up.
