All CJ Stroud had to do was be as mid as Trent Dilfer.

And he'd be going to the damn Super Bowl, and he couldn't even manage Trent Dilfer.

He was so bad in this game that the best unit left in the playoffs is headed home.

Somehow, some way.

I am stunned by it, and Caroline, I think the Texans have a long-term question to answer, and I'm not sure it's CJ Stroud anymore.

The Texans' defense is entitled to comp.

From C.J.

Stroud.

He quite literally threw that game away.

We're talking about a Texans defense that nasty, and we're talking about a Texans defense that made the Patriots make their mistakes as well.

I mean, Drake Maye had how many fumbles?

Game?

Played four, lost two of them.

I mean, Drake Maye did not play his best brand of football.

The Patriots did not play their best brand of football, either.

The Patriots made enough mistakes to lose that game as well.

And that was credit to the Texans' defense for forcing them into some of those kind of uncharacteristic mistakes.

But there's only so much your defense can do, and the Texans' defense has been carrying that Texans team for a large The season, really the back half of the season and into the postseason.

And for the most part, that's been enough, but not when your QB throws the ball to the other team four times in a single half, Fitz.

That, if you're a Texans fan, I cannot even imagine how frustrated you are today.

And if you're part of that Texans locker room, I think you're even more frustrated.

So I hear you on, what do you do with the future of the quarterback position?

I hear you on the, uh, maybe some hesitation, uh, uh.

Between DeMeco Ryans and the entire front office, making a QB change.

Position.

But also, if you're DeMeco Ryans, how do you Sell C.J.

Stroud to the rest of that locker room moving forward?

How do you sell C.J.

Stroud to Will Anderson and Derek Stingley Jr.?

And to Daniel Hunter, and so many... And Woody Marks.

And so many pieces of this Texans team that did their job.

That did their fair share to win this game, and to punch their ticket to the AFC game, but they couldn't overcome what the quarterback was doing?

It's the most important position in sports for a reason.

So, I know the quarterback position is so incredibly difficult.

And you can do much worse than C.J.

Stroud.

Just ask any Jets or Browns fan.

Sorry to Jets and Browns fans, continuing to catch, you know.

Strays here.

But also, if you're DeMeco Ryans, You're gonna lose your locker room if you continue to ride with C.J.

Stroud.

You're gonna lose your fanbase, and you might even lose your job if you run it back with CJ Stroud, with a defense that's good enough to win a championship that flushes it down.
