Don’t expect John Harbaugh to turn around the Giants right away

As much as Harbaugh may have this team on the right track long-term, this year, I think the Giants are gonna stink.
Look, I, I get it.
Everybody's like, "Oh, Jaxson Dart, Jaxson Dart."
Gotta stay on the field.
Like, we gotta know that Jaxson Dart can make it through an entire season.
I have absolutely no idea if that's the case.
Also, let me just remind everybody how convinced we were that C.J.
Stroud's rookie year was gonna lead to just absolute greatness from C.J.
Stroud for the rest of time.
How did that work out?
We were convinced that Jayden Daniels' first year meant that the, the Washington Commanders were about to be undeniable year in and year out.
Didn't look that way last year.
Obviously, injury part of that.
I'm just saying, as you well know, Caroline, I like three years on a quarterback to make a statement.
We're making a statement on Jaxson Dart after one year.
I can't do that.
Plus, Cam Scatty-boo, is he gonna be healthy?
I have no idea.
Might be healthy, might not be healthy.
Is Malik Nabers gonna be healthy?
I don't know.
Right now he's running on air in practice, and we're trying to make that a big deal.
I have no idea what that actually translates to when he gets on the field, when they're in this thing.
Oh, and by the way, they don't have Dexter Lawrence on a defense that was already bad stopping the run last year.
Gonna be bad again with some of that this year.
Like, we're just gonna pretend that that's not a big deal?
There are enough holes and question marks for the Giants for me to look at this and say even though I believe over time Harbaugh might be able to turn this thing into something good, right now, I think the way we're talking about the Giants, so many people are trying to turn the Giants into this epic riser that's suddenly gonna be a playoff ca- caliber team, a wild card team.
They're gonna be in this No.
No.
There are too many yeah buts for me to feel comfortable with anything we're talking about for the Giants.
And one thing I say consistently is if you are a Giants fan and you wanna presume that everything works out right for your team, if you want to apply universal benefit of the doubt to everything for your team, the only fair thing to do is apply universal benefit of the, of the doubt to everybody else.
Which means the Cowboys, who we already talked about, all of a sudden they're gonna be firing on all cylinders.
It means that the Eagles won't have an issue with A.J.
Brown.
It means that Laremy Tunsil being out for the Commanders won't be that big a deal and Jayden takes that big step forward.
If you apply universal benefit of the doubt to the entire division, the Giants are the fourth-best team.
So I can't find a way just because Harbaugh is there to suddenly make all the rest of the questions not be real for the Giants.
I say they're closer to last place than they are to first place.
I think the Giants end up in the bottom.
Even if I think long-term they're gonna be fine, this year the Giants' bubble needs to be burst.
