They are 13-and-a-half point favorites.

By the way, Tulsa is-- This is in Tulsa, guys, right?

This is- Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Tulsa's the home team.

This is at Tulsa, yeah.

I double, I triple-checked.

We are in Tulsa at historic Skelly Field at H.A.

Chapman Stadium.

Thank you, Game Notes.

Let's talk about Drew Mestemaker.

Let's talk about Eric Morris.

We've done that a lot.

We think that offense is going to import pretty easily, right?

But I also wanna talk about one other individual, and it's the reason why Drew Mestemaker and Eric Morris are in Stillwater right now, and that's Skyler Cassidy.

Mm-hmm.

Skyler Cassidy was the defensive coordinator that North Texas hired last year because, and I can vividly remember for some reason doing an American Athletic Conference preview last season, where you had this cluster of teams, and Alex Golisch and South Florida were one of them.

John Summerlin and Tulane were not.

You had a high-end offense and a problematic defense- Yes in the '24 season.

You had potential for these coaches to move up.

They had to play complete complementary football.

So what Eric Morris and North Texas did after having a really bad defense in 2024 was they brought in Skyler Cassidy.

He came from Sam Houston.

This guy is as Texas as it gets, right?

He ported essentially his Sam Houston defense to North Texas and- Seven, yeah, seven starters followed him.

Yeah.

They were not world-beater in terms of statistics, but that's not the point here.

What I said was complementary football, and when you have Eric Morris' offensive mindset coming off of the incarnate word wazoo tree, and you have a great quarterback in Drew Mestemaker, what you need is to just, let, let, let's just flip two possessions.

Let's just- Mm-hmm let's change the situation two possessions a game, and that's what's going to win you football games
