In 2017, Nike took over league uniform rights.

From Adidas, and while they've made countless other themed jerseys, The fan-favorite Christmas jersey has not returned.

Nike makes a lot of great Christmas shoes, so why no jerseys?

Well, jersey expert Paul Lukas from Uni Watch speculates that this could be an issue with Scheduling.

The NBA doesn't release its Christmas Day Schedule until August, but retailers must place holiday merchandise orders much earlier.

So adidas would have to design Christmas uniforms for all 30 teams, and retailers would Then have to guess which team's Christmas jerseys to order, Sometimes ending up with a team that wasn't even playing on Christmas.

The whole thing was kind of a headache for both sides, so maybe that's why Nike has gone full Grinch on the Christmas jerseys.
