Bengal fans are very protective.
They think we're making something out of Nothing here.
But, Ben, I can also tell you that, like, I've heard from multiple friends in New York.
Today, Joey, If you wanna turn on WFAN right now, maybe, I dont know if you even have an AM radio in your Home.
We're right now on WFAN in New York.
They are trying to find a way to get Joe Burrow to the Jets.
This has been brewing for weeks now.
New York sports talk radio, they are convinced that the Jets can go get Joe Burrow.
All he had to say was, "Guys, I grew up here."
This is home, like I, I don't want to go anywhere.
But Ben, I didn't hear that.
No, and look, he is very intentional, clearly with what he's saying.
Like Joy said, he's had a lot of time to think about it.
And ultimately, he's one of these; this is like when, you know, LeBron James was a free agent, right?
Obviously, Joe Burrow.
Not a free agent, but so many teams would be interested, right?
This is going to potentially, if it happens, be an incredible shift either in the AFC.
Or the NFC.
Now you would think that the Bengals, if they were going to trade him, would want to trade him out of the conference.
And as I said last week, there's a certain team that might make a lot of sense in the NFC North That has a rookie quarterback who maybe could take a backseat for a little while in, In Minnesota, just a possibility, but this is, I, I think it's being underplayed a bit.
Uh, just because the Bengals are out of it, like, remember, Joe Burrow went to Arrowhead and beat Patrick Mahomes to go to the Super Bowl.
And almost did it again, but they've also missed the playoffs in several years.
And a lot of that has been because they either had a slow start, Where they were famously 0-2 or 1-1 at best in those first two games.
And in September, Joe Burrow's been injured, for the most part.
When he's been on the field, they've been winning games.
He just hasn't been on the field enough, and part of that has been because they haven't hit On those draft picks, as I said last week, they spent a lot of draft capital on the defense.
Which is still bad and potentially historic bad this season, And the offensive line has been bad, and Burrow certainly does hold the ball some, But obviously, some of those injuries can be on that offensive line, too.
And so I think.
You're just seeing a guy who's frustrated, Understandably, I kind of say, "Hey, they went out, they signed Ja'Marr Chase."
They signed T. Higgins, who has also been hurt some.
They have the offense that should be able to compete with anyone.
Potentially at the expense of the defense.
It just hasn't come together as a team.
And also, you just have these kinds of super Super Bowl windows.
We're not saying anything is shut with the Bengals, but their window also happened to be With the Ravens, a very good team, with the Bills, a very good team.
And with the team that was in many, many Super Bowls, the Chiefs.
So, it's not like this has been a bad stretch necessarily.
I think Bengals fans probably would be disappointed if this was the end.
It just also happens that sometimes you might be the Utah Jazz to the Chicago Bulls in the 90s, and theyve just been a very good team.
That hasn't quite gotten over the hump yet, even when they made that Super Bowl, And they were right there in that Super Bowl.
It just seems like he's trying to tell us something, and it seems like most of those Options don't have him happily playing with the Bengals necessarily next season.
