Is Juwan Johnson the skeleton key to punting the TE position?

Okay, I have Jauan Johnson as my tight end 12.
I like it.
And I feel great about it.
He's anywhere from 72 to 90% of snaps player on offense.
He's gonna be out there all the time.
He ran the fourth most routes at the position last year with an 18% target share, which was good for tight end seven.
He can be drafted much later than this.
And if you really wanna push it, I would be fine going into week one through week six, maybe even to week eight with Jauan Johnson as my starting tight end.
Yep.
I definitely can see this happening.
He was the tight end five in yards per game, tight end eight in receptions per game after the Rashid Shaheed trade.
That's pretty much the same exact depth chart that he finds himself in now.
Those were mostly Tyler Shuck games on top of that.
So the pathway to being a top 12 tight end is, like, right there.
He just did this over, like, an entire last half of the last season.
I love Jauan Johnson if, especially if you drafted Tucker Kraft or if you drafted, George Kittle, or if you punted the position and you wanna go with Jauan Johnson plus Terrance Ferguson, something like that.
Right.
I think that this kind of, like, punt tight end strategy became viable again because of Jauan Johnson's, like, recent projections.
So I think over the course of the season he's probably gonna finish as, like, the tight end 14 or whatever because Jordan Tyson will start to eat, eat into this.
But the beginning part of the season he will Like, in my week one rankings he'll probably be my tight end, you know, eight.
I'm right there with you.
I mean, he's on the offense that's gonna have, probably have the most snaps per game, drop backs per game potentially.
So, I'm excited.
I, I really like Jauan Johnson.
Like you said, the Jordan Tyson injury made him almost like a skeleton key, I think, of the tight end position- Yes this year.
I don't wanna overstate it, but, I kind of feel that way.
